Port Pre-School, Inc. is a parent cooperative; it is run by and for the families of Port Pre-School, Inc.  Becoming a member of the Parent Committee is a great way to become involved in your child's education and meet other parents from the school.  The Parent Committee meetings are open to all parents, and we encourage all parents to attend at least one meeting.  Committee positions include: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary.  Committee positions are filled in February by returning parents and any open positions are finalized at the Parent Orientation meeting (end of August).  Please keep in mind that any parental input, no matter how great or small, is greatly appreciated.  The monthly meetings are both informal and informative.  Join us!

Parents also have the opportunity to be a part of our Fundraising Team! This team is lead by the Vice President and meets monthly to plan and implement various fundraisers throughout the school year.  For more information or to become part of the fundraising team, email ppsfundraisingteam@gmail.com.

You may be wondering:  why does Port Pre-School do fundraising?  Fundraising is a vital source of operating income for our preschool.  Our teachers’ salaries, insurance, rent, operating expenses, utilities and the school’s supplies are partially covered by the money raised from these events.  We truly appreciate and are thankful for everything we receive and want to thank all of our families and community partners for their continued support.
